At least 385 people have been shot and killed by police nationwide during the first five months of this year, according to an analysis by the Washington Post.

As the graphic above shows, the majority of those killed were men with a gun — 212 of the 385, while nine more were women with guns. Others had knives or vehicles, while 34 had other assorted objects, including a lawnmower blade, machetes, and swords.

Thirteen of those shot by police this year had toy guns, while 47 men and two women were unarmed.
